May 2020 - 3030 kits sent to Vanuatu

Locally people are stepping up to meet the needs of Days for Girls even during the COVID 19 event. We know that periods don’t pause for pandemics and together we will continue to support each other and our communities.

We sent a shipment of 3030 kits to Vanuatu on the 28th May 2020, for distribution to Tanna in particular and also Pentecost, Ambrym and Santo. The kits will be distributed to students as a priority.

The category 5 Cyclone Harold has destroyed much of the northern islands, so our kits will be very much appreciated.

More recently we received a thank you video from the recipient organisation: play video

August 2021 - 350 kits are on their way to the Philippines

378 shields have been completed by the Wynnum DfG group.  They have been through the hands of several volunteers to get to the final product eg marking, cutting (3 layers of fabric), sewing and finally the studs going in.
